Virginia Remote Student Progress Test

Virginia Remote Student Progress Test

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) developed a new assessment option for spring 2021 called the Virginia Remote Student Progress Test (VRSPT). This optional assessment uses SOL-like questions for reading (grades 3-8), science (grades 5 and 8), and mathematics (grades 3-8).

The VRSPT is intended as a means for families of fully virtual students to obtain information about their children’s achievement on grade-level content standards during virtual learning. Although the same content standards and question formats are used, the VRSPT is not an SOL test.

In the coming weeks students will receive an email to their fcpsschools.net account with directions for accessing this assessment. The assessment window is from May 10th-June 4th. If choosing to participate, students must submit their test no later than June 4th.

If you have any questions regarding the VRSPT, please contact Kelley Dauberman at @email or visit the VRSPT webpage (https://www.fcps.edu/node/43311).
