New Families

We look forward to meeting new families!

If you are new to the area, you can enroll your student(s) throughout the school year and during the summer months. Please contact Jackie Garcia, our student information assistant, at 703-641-8201 or @email. We will let you know what items to bring with you to register and will schedule a time for you to come to the office. You can also access registration forms through the FCPS website.

Kindergarten Registration

A child may enter kindergarten if he or she turns five on or before September 30 of the year he or she enters school.

Woodburn ES will have information available in late March or early April for parents of incoming kindergarteners, and we'll be holding orientation sessions. After you have confirmed your address on this boundary link, assembled all necessary documents, and completed the FCPS Registration forms, please contact Jackie Garcia, our student information assistant, at 703-641-8201 or @email.

The FECEP/Head Start/Early Head Start program provides a quality preschool experience with comprehensive services at no cost to qualifying families who reside in Fairfax County. Your family may qualify for FECEP/Head Start if you have a child who will be age 3, 4 or 5 (not eligible for Kindergarten) by October 1st, receive free or reduced-price school meals, TANF, Social Security Income, and/or homeless per definition of the McKinney Vento Act and receive resources such as from a shelter and/or the FCPS homeless liaison office.
