Welcome to Woodburn Elementary School's Summer 2020 Continuity of Learning Page!
On this page you will find resources available for all students throughout the summer, including information for Teacher Office Hours offered once a week from June 29th-July 31st. Students in grades K-6 will receive both a Mathematics and a Language Arts Essentials Summer Practice Book in the mail by the end of June. Digital versions of the books will be posted on the Continuity of Learning Blackboard Page.
In order to receive a secure link for teacher office hours, you can register your student by completing the Summer Continuity of Learning form. View the learning schedule below.
English Language Development
In addition to attending office hours with our grade level teachers, we also are able to provide additional office hours for students to meet with one of our Woodburn ESOL teachers. Students will use their grade level classroom link to access the classes with the exception of 5th and 6th graders who will receive a second link.

Blackboard 24-7 and Office Hour Links
Students have access to skill practice through the iReady digital lessons. Information about iReady, including how to log in, can be accessed through the FCPS public Universal Screener website. Students will need to enter their FCPS login credentials to access these resources. These digital activities will be available until Friday, July 31st. For quick access, click the iReady icon in the grid below.
Woodburn's Summer Reading Challenge
Enjoy your break staying healthy, being with family, and reading! Use this summer challenge to help you keep up with your reading. Each day select a box to complete. Once you finish the whole board you can turn it in for a free book.* You can turn in two boards for the whole summer and get 2 free books!* We look forward to seeing all the reading you will do!

Fairfax County Public Library’s summer reading program - “Imagine Your Story”
Registration starts on June 12. Sign up and download a summer reading gameboard. As children read books (or listens to books) and complete pieces of the gameboard, they can be entered into random drawings to possibly win a prize.

- Dreambox Learning - Log on with FCPS username and password
- Available through June 30th. Students use their FCPS login credentials to access Dreambox Learning.
- Origo at Home
- Available to students and provides nine weeks of math lessons. No login is required and the site is free.

Fairfax County Public Schools is offering a FREE online arts enrichment program for current K-12 students for five weeks from July 6 to August 7. A variety of classes will be offered in art, music, theater, and dance.
- Elementary classes include K-6 Art, Stitchery and Weaving, Claymation and Recycled Art, K-6 Music, Drumming, Contemporary Vocals, Sixth Grade Band, Sixth Grade Strings, K-6 Theater, and K-6 Dance.
