Exploring Nature: 2nd Grade Field Trip to Green Spring Gardens
At Green Spring Gardens, our 2nd graders experienced an exciting hands-on learning adventure. They explored the diverse pond ecosystem, studied the life cycle of frogs, and observed various animals in their natural habitats. They also learned about the incredible journeys of butterfly and moth caterpillars, including metamorphosis and migration, while spotting some fluttering among the flowers. Additionally, they discovered fascinating insect survival adaptations and examined the plant life cycle from seed to flower. In our plant lab, they dissected a flower to explore its parts up close and gained a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature.
